A few scattered showers and spotty drizzle will move through during the early hours of Sunday with temperatures dropping into the mid and upper 50s. Some showers and drizzle will be around as we start Sunday, but they will move off to our south and east as we go through the day. Clouds will break for some sunshine, but the chance for showers will linger into the afternoon for communities near the Maryland border. Temperatures will get into the mid 70s across the region Sunday, with a couple spots east of I-99 getting close to 80°. Some patchy fog will develop in the early hours of Monday as temperatures fall into the mid and upper 50s. Monday will start off with a mix of sun and clouds, but more clouds will move in Monday afternoon and evening ahead of the next disturbance that will bring showers and a few rumbles of thunder to the region. High temperatures Monday will be in the mid and upper 70s. That disturbance will move through the region Tuesday, with more clouds than sunshine and showers that will be heavy at times. High temperatures may struggle to make it to 70° in a few locations Tuesday. We’ll start to dry out a little as we go into Wednesday, but we aren’t going to break out of this unsettled pattern as we head toward next weekend.
