Reported by: Chief Meteorologist Joe Murgo
A few spots can have a shower or thunderstorm through the early morning hours. While many spots will be missed, those places that do get hit can have a heavier downpour. It will remain muggy tonight with patchy clouds and a few areas of fog. Temperatures will only drop into the 60s. Tuesday will also be quite humid but as a front approaches, we'll have more clouds than sunshine and a better chance for a scattering of showers and thunderstorms. More spots will be hit than missed, and any of the showers or thunderstorms can bring heavier downpours. Temperatures on Tuesday will try to reach near to a little above 80, but the high temperature in each location will be determined by the timing of the shower or thunderstorm activity. This front will pass through the region on Wednesday. It will still be warm and humid with highs in the 70s to near 80 but there will be more numerous showers and thunderstorms. Any of the showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday can once again be heavy with flooding downpours. Behind the front, slightly less humid air will settle over the region for the end of the work week. Thursday will feature a mix of clouds and sunshine with only a slight chance for a pop up shower or thunderstorm with highs in the 70s to near 80. Temperatures may drop into the 50s in places Thursday night. Friday will be partly sunny and warm, but not too humid with the chance for a shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the 70s to near 80. The humidity will creep up over the weekend with a mix of clouds and sunshine each day. There can be a pop up shower or thunderstorm on either day. Highs will be in the 70s to near 80 on Saturday and a little warmer on Sunday. Monday will be warm and humid with a mix of clouds and sunshine and a shower or thunderstorm in places with highs in the 80s.
