Reported by: Chief Meteorologist Joe Murgo
Muggy air will be around for at least a couple more days. Tuesday will be even warmer and humid with some hazy sunshine and only the chance for a pop up shower or thunderstorm. While most areas will be rain free, any shower or thunderstorm can bring a heavier downpour. Highs will be in the lower to middle 80s. Wednesday will also be quite warm and humid but an approaching front will bring more numerous showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon into the night. Any of the thunderstorms could be heavy. Ahead of the rainfall, temperatures will still reach well into the 80s and it will still be quite muggy. This front will still be close enough to bring some showers, maybe a thunderstorm Thursday. Otherwise, clouds will break for some sunshine Thursday. It will still be humid but the humidity will start to lower later in the day. Highs Thursday will be in the 70s to near 80. Thursday night will be more comfortable with lows in the 50s. An area of high pressure will give us a fair amount of sunshine Friday with highs in the 70s to near 80 and comfortable humidity. With the high sitting over the region, Friday night will be comfortable with lows in the 50s. Saturday will still be nice with sunshine mixing with a few clouds and only the chance for a pop up shower or thunderstorm. The next disturbance will bring more numerous showers and thunderstorms on Sunday. It will not cool much behind that disturbance as temperatures will reach near to above average Monday through Wednesday of next week with the chance for pop up afternoon thunderstorms.
