Reported by: Chief Meteorologist Joe Murgo
After a tranquil day of sun and clouds, we will have a mostly cloudy sky tonight with scattered showers. There may also be a rumble of thunder in a few spots. A cold front will pass through the region Tuesday. This front will bring some showers and perhaps a thunderstorm. As the front passes to the east, the threat for rainfall may end later in the day as it becomes breezy. As a cooler air mass will settles in behind the front, Wednesday we bring a fair amount of sunshine, mixed with a few clouds and a nice breeze with temperatures in the lower 70s. The core of the chilly air mass will settle over the region Wednesday night, and with a clear sky and light winds, temperatures will drop into the 40s in many spots. Despite sunshine, Thursday will still be cooler than average with highs in the middle 70s. We will have a partly sunny sky on Friday with a slightly warmer high near 80. Saturday and Sunday will each have clouds and sunshine with each day having a high near 80. A stray shower can not be ruled out Friday and Saturday with a slightly better chance on Sunday. The next disturbance will bring more clouds and showers Monday.
