Reported by: Chief Meteorologist Joe Murgo
An area of high pressure system will give us a good deal of sunshine on Friday. After the cool morning, temperatures will rise into the 70s to near 80. While this is still below the average high for the date, it will still feel quite warm in the sun. However, in the shade it will still be comfortable with lower humidity. The humidity will creep up a little on Saturday with a mix of clouds and sunshine. A shower or thunderstorm is possible by the end of the day. Temperatures will reach to near or just above 80. There will be a few showers and thunderstorms around Saturday night into Sunday as the first of two fronts come our way. It will still be warm and humid Sunday despite more clouds than sunshine. A second and more powerful cold front will move through the region on Monday. Ahead of the front it will be warm with scattered showers and perhaps a thunderstorm. Behind the front, an unseasonably cool air mass will move in for the middle of next week. Tuesday will be breezy with more clouds than sunshine and scattered showers. Highs will be in the 60s to lower 70s. Wednesday will also be cool despite the return of some sunshine. This air mass will start to depart later in the week and temperatures will return back to near average by the upcoming weekend.
