Reported by: Chief Meteorologist Joe Murgo
The high pressure system that brought the recent cool pattern will begin to shift to the east this weekend. After a chilly start, today will be a beautiful day with a sunny to partly cloudy sky. With the sunshine temperatures will make a fast rebound from the chilly morning up to the middle 70s during the afternoon. Some clouds will start to drift in tonight will not be nearly as cool as recent nights with lows in the 50s to near 60. A front will approach from the north and bring a couple of showers and thunderstorms later tonight into Sunday. We'll probably have more clouds than sunshine Sunday. It will be humid with temperatures trying to reach up to near 80 in places. This front will still be close enough to bring some clouds on Monday. A disturbance moving along the front will likely bring another round of showers and thunderstorms Monday night into Tuesday. Clouds will try to break Tuesday afternoon. Temperatures Monday and Tuesday will try to reach to near 80 but will that will be very dependent on the timing of the rainfall. Later next week will be warm and humid. Each day Wednesday through Friday will bring a mix of clouds and sunshine. There can be a couple of pop up showers and thunderstorms each day but many spots may stay rain free. High temperatures will be in the lower to middle 80s. The nights will also be muggy with lows in the 60s. The warm and humid air looks like it will stay through the next weekend.
