Reported by: Meteorologist Steve Newton
Stray showers and thundershowers will develop this afternoon, but like Monday many locations will stay dry. The locations that do see showers this afternoon could see a drenching downpour as temperatures reach the upper 70s and low 80s across the region. Any showers that develop in the afternoon will fall apart after sunset and some areas of fog will develop in the early hours of Wednesday. Temperatures early Wednesday will be in the low and mid 60s. Wednesday will be warm and humid with clouds, some sunshine and showers and thunderstorms scattered across the region. Temperatures Wednesday will be similar to what we will see Tuesday, in the upper 70s and low 80s. Temperatures will climb into the 80s almost everywhere Thursday with scattered showers and thunderstorms developing in the afternoon, and dew points will be getting into the upper 60s in some locations. Friday will be warm and humid as well with highs in the 80s across the region. Clouds will mix with sunshine, and a few showers and thunderstorms will develop in the afternoon. Each night in the second half of the week will be muggy and temperatures will be in the 60s. A weak front at the end of the week will bring some relief from the humidity, but stray showers and thunderstorms will be possible Saturday and Sunday.
