Reported by: Chief Meteorologist Joe Murgo
An approaching front did bring a line of gusty showers and thunderstorms to the region this afternoon, some with small hail. Behind the front, the rest of tonight will be windy and cooler with a partly to mostly cloudy sky with just a stray shower or flurry in spots. Temperatures will drop into the 30s. Wednesday will be windy and chilly. There will be more clouds than sunshine in the morning with a shower, perhaps even a flurry in spots. The amount of sunshine will increase for the afternoon hours. Thursday will be sunny to partly cloudy and warmer with highs in the 60s. The next system will bring some showers and perhaps a thunderstorm Friday. This system will leave a front stalled across the region on Saturday, and a disturbance moving along the front may bring a period of rain. If this happens, Saturday could be a cool day with highs in the 50s. Behind that disturbance Sunday will be breezy with clouds and sunshine. Another chance for rainfall will return Monday night into Tuesday.
