Updated: Thursday evening, May 1st
Reported by: Meteorologist Steve Newton

We’ve had scattered showers moving over the region today as an unsettled airmass moves over the region, and this pattern will continue. Any showers that pop up this evening will come to an end as we go into the late hours of tonight and early Friday. Temperatures will fall into the low and mid 40s across the region early Friday. We will have a mix of sun and clouds to start the weekend, but the chance for a pop up shower or thunderstorm will remain with high temperatures in the upper 50s and low 60s. This pattern will last through the weekend, with a mix of clouds, sunshine and a few pop up showers both Saturday and Sunday. It’s not until after the weekend the pattern looks to break, with warmer air returning.
