A few clouds mixed in with the sunshine today, but those clouds didn’t stop temperatures from getting into the upper 70s and low 80s across the region. Clouds will pass over the region during the overnight hours, but there will be periods of clearing where you’ll be able to see the supermoon and maybe some of the Perseids. Patchy fog will form in the early hours of Monday as temperatures fall into the mid and upper 50s. The fog will lift Monday and we’ll start with a mix of sun and clouds, but more clouds will arrive in the afternoon ahead of the next cold front. Temperatures will get into the mid 70s and around 80°. Showers will start in the evening, with the heaviest rain falling Tuesday as some thunderstorms develop. Tuesday will be breezy with highs in the mid and upper 70s, and Wednesday will have similar highs as the front begins pushing out of the region. Cooler air will move in behind the front, and even with a mix of sun and few clouds in the second half of the week, high temperatures will be in the low and mid 70s Thursday. Heading toward the weekend temperatures will move closer to 80°.
