Reported by: Meteorologist Steve Newton
High pressure is beginning to move off to the east, but with that we got a welcome blast of warm air today, with high temperatures in the low to mid 70s across the region. Unfortunately, clouds will move in tonight ahead of a cold front, but we will start Tuesday in the upper 40s and low 50s. Temperatures will get into the 60s Tuesday morning and rain will move in during the late morning hours. I am keeping my eye (or ear as it were) on the chance for a few rumbles of thunder as the front moves through. Cooler air will move in behind the front, and I cannot rule out seeing a few snowflakes in the higher elevations overnight Tuesday into Wednesday. Clouds will break for sunshine Wednesday and temperatures will rebound into the 60s for Thursday and to near 70° for Friday.
