Reported by: Chief Meteorologist Joe Murgo
The warm weather pattern continued today with temperatures pushing into the 80s in most places, but now more unsettled weather will be with us as we head into the first half of the weekend. We'll have scattered showers and thunderstorms through the overnight hours and into Saturday as a slow moving front will move into the region. This front will pass to the east later Saturday into Saturday night and bring an end to the rainfall. There will not be too much cooling behind the front, in fact temperatures will push well into the 70s on Mother's Day with a mix of clouds and sunshine. While a shower or thunderstorm can not be totally ruled out, it looks like most of us will have a dry Sunday. Monday and Tuesday will be a bit warm and a little humid with clouds and sunshine. A couple of showers and thunderstorms will be around each day. The next front will bring numerous showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday and will move slow enough to bring showers, perhaps a thunderstorm on Thursday. It will be cooler with highs in the 60s both Wednesday and Thursday. The end of the workweek should bring us at least some sunshine.
