A Rodney Dangerfield Storm

Chief Meteorologist Joe Murgo talks about the cause of this morning's snow

One of Rodney Dangerfield's famous line is he got no respect. That same thing could be said about a storm system that moved from the northern Plains and kept enough strength to bring more than a few inches to part of our area this morning. Yes, it wasn't the Nor'Easter that brought the storm but was this system to the west. And it was a tremendous storm.

We did think some bands of snow would come out from a storm from the west. This band was slow moving through the higher elevations which made a difference as those were the spots that were more prone to any accumulation. So while the storm to the east gets the headlines, the Rodney Dangerfield to the west affected us more.
