INVESTIGATION2007-07-26-1185494621.JPGPennsylvania Crime Stoppers is now offering a cash reward of up to $2000 for information leading to the wherabouts of Joey Lynn Offutt. It's been over two weeks now since investigators found a baby's body in a burned-out Jefferson County home. Since then, investigators have been searching for the single mom who rented that house in Sykesville. 33-year-old Joey Lynn Offutt is 5'3", with a thin build, and brown hair and brown eyes. Here's some new information about Offutt - police say she has a speech impairment - a lisp - and that she is known to frequent the State College and Winchester, West Virginia areas. Her red, two-door 1994 Saturn, was found last week near the Nittany Gardens Apartments in State College. Authorities haven't said if the baby found was Offut's, or if it died before or during the fire. They do say there are suspicious circumstances surrounding her disappearance and they have concern for her welfare. Offut has two older children who weren't home at the time of the fire. Anyone with information concerning Offutt is now urged to call the Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers at 1 - 800 - 4PA-TIPS. All callers remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2000.
