A new Morgan Stanley report states there is a wine shortage of 300 million cases a year.
CLEARFIELD COUNTY - A new Morgan Stanley report states there is a global wine shortage of 300 million cases a year.

Production is at its lowest level since the 1960s and fell globally last year by 5% while consumption increased.

In American, the small winery industry is expanding. Since they are small they do not have a global effect.

Starr Hill Winery in Curwensville says there is a difference between consumers overseas and in Pennsylvania.

He says here people prefer sweet wines and that is primarily what they sell. He also states their juices come from the Lake Erie region where there was a great crop!

He says not shortage here.
