Water Threat Police Update

Police are continuing their investigation Sunday.
HOLLIDAYSBURG, BLAIR COUNTY - Police are continuing their investigation Sunday regarding the threat to the Hollidaysburg Water Supply System.

Officers with the Hollidaysburg Police Department say Sunday, they are following up on several leads at this time and are conducting interviews. State Police are also working with local police to analyze computer forensics.

Police believe the threat initially came via email and are looking at a possible connection between this threat and the bomb threat at the Blair County Courthouse last week.

Charges are unknown at this point, pending the investigation.

Anyone still in need of extra water can visit the Kittanning Trail Volunteer Fire Company, located at 937 Edison Avenue in Altoona until 8 p.m. Sunday, unless the restriction is lifted before then. The Altoona Water Authority will be on hand to help you, but you must bring your own containers.
