UPDATE: PA Turnpike Open After Morning Crash

Over 100 miles of the Pennsylvania Turnpike were shut down Thursday morning due to a serious tractor-trailer accident.<br>
BREEZEWOOD, BEDFORD COUNTY - Over 100 miles of the Pennsylvania Turnpike were shut down Thursday morning due to a serious tractor-trailer accident.

A serious tractor trailer accident early this morning near Carlisle, in the Harrisburg area, forced officials to close approximately the turnpike starting at the Breezewood Interchange in Bedford County.  Travelers were forced to follow a lengthy detour to get around the crash.

Turnpike officials said the road re-opened as of 11:30am this morning.
