UPDATE: New Sighting of Missing College Student

<P>Investigators say young man last seen holding cardboard sign near interstate</P>

STATE COLLEGE, CENTRE COUNTY - State College Police reported a new sighting of a missing Penn State student.

Investigators revealed on Wednesday that 21-year-old Jesse McMillen had been spotted in Bridgeport, WV at Exit 124 of I-79 around 4:45 p.m. Monday. Police said he was carrying a cardboard sign.
 
Prior to that, McMillen was last seen leaving the Red Carpet Inn in Ebensburg Friday, Aug. 17. Investigators said he told the clerk there he was hitchhiking to see a friend in Pittsburgh. Police contacted the friend, who said he had not been in contact with McMillen.

He was reported missing on Saturday, Aug. 18. His roommate told police he was searching on Craigslist for a place to rent and was supposed to have looked at a camping trailer in the Bellefonte area late last week.

McMillen is approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs 180 lb. and wears glasses. He was last seen carrying a dark-colored backpack with numerous pins attached.

McMillen is entered in the nationwide computer database as a missing person.

Anyone who sees the young man, or has any information, is asked to contact the closest police department.
