Tuesday's Tails: Meet Anderson and Onyx

We've got two purrr-fect pets taking center stage this week in Tuesday's Tails, and both of them are hoping to steal your heart!

Centre County PAWS Volunteer Krissy Pydynowski introduces us to Anderson and Onyx.

Anderson, who also goes by "Andy", is a black and white tuxedo cat who was born on April 25, 2011.  Andy is a hermaphrodite.  She was born with both male and female reproductive organs, both of which, have been altered.  Andy was born to a stray, and the rescuer could not keep her.  She is friendly and playful.  Her foster parents say she gets along with their calm, older dog, but add that she would do better in a home with somewhat older children and/or cats.

Onyx is a domestic shorthair cat born on April 12, 2012.  She is black with a white locket.  Onyx was found as a stray, but is friendly and affectionate with people.  She should do well in a home with children.  She is fearful around most other cats, but has made friends with two of her foster parent's cats and loves playing with one of the foster kittens.  She might get along in a home with a submissive cat, but hasn't seemed to get along with her rescuer's dog.

If you're looking for another way to help PAWS, they have a fundraiser coming up.  Their All-You-Can-Eat "Spay"-ghetti Dinner is this Monday, February 18th from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in State College.  Tickets are $6 in advance and $7 at the door.  Proceeds benefit the Spay and Neuter Assistance Program at PAWS.
