PENFIELD, CLEARFIELD COUNTY -- Four teenagers were flown to hospitals after a car crash in Clearfield County. It happened just after 8 p.m. Tuesday night near Penfield.

State Police say a 16-year-old from Weedville was speeding on Burket road. He lost control and crashed into a tree. His four passengers were injured and taken first to the DuBois Regional Medical Center, then flown to trauma centers in Pittsburgh and Altoona.

All five teens involved are from Clearfield and Elk Counties. Police say the most seriously hurt teenagers were not wearing their seat belts.
