Take the Plunge, the Winter Plunge!

Join Penn State Altoona and jump into the icy cold waters of Canoe Creek State Park for two great causes!
PSU Altoona's Winter Plunge 2014 is coming up on January 26th. On today's show, WTAJ News Anchor Carolyn Donaldson joins us to talk about the event. She participated in it last year. Joining Carolyn is Anthony "Tony" Stauffer, the student executive director of Penn State Altoona Benefiting THON. We also have a special appearance frompolar bear mascot - Bear E. White!

Carolyn talks about the excitement of the event, her experience and highlights of Winter Plunge Weekend. She'll also explain how people can register.

The event benefits two great causes: THON and the goal to beat childhood cancer and student scholarships. Tony says Penn State Altoona raised a great deal of money with this event last year. They were the first campus to surpass the $100,000 mark. They also raised the highest amount of all of the University's commonwealth campuses.
