Survivors Of Suicide Come Together

International Survivors of Suicide Day.
ALTOONA - Saturday marked International Survivors of Suicide Day.

Groups met across the country and world to grieve and share their stories of a loved one lost to suicide.
They say they find strength by meeting together and talking about what happened. The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention member Cindy Estep thinks the taboo over talking about suicide is going away and that brings help to survivors.

"Every 41 seconds someone dies by suicide which means ever 42 seconds there's someone that has to deal with it for the rest of there life. By becoming a tight knit bond and supporting each other we can continue not only just be alive, but to live again," Cindy Estep says.
