Student Loan Bill

Some potentially good news for students heading back to school
ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY - Some potentially good news for students heading back to school.

The President signed a bill that would lower interest rates on their school loans. The rates are tied to market levels.

If the economy improves those rates could go up in the future, but for now they will lower interest rates for undergrads to 3.9%. Graduate students will pay 5.4%. And parents taking out loans for their children will pay 6.4%.
