Steelers lose to Broncos 34-17

(Denver) - Dennis Dixon struggled in his first playing time with the first team Sunday night in Denver, as the Steelers fell to the Broncos 34-17.

Dixon threw 2 interceptions, going 9 of 16 for 94 yards.

Ben Roethlisberger started and went 4 of 6 for 67 yards.

Steelers RB Jonathen Dwyer was impressive, rushing for 89 yards on 13 carries, including a touchdown.

The Steelers wrap up the pre-season Thursday night at Heinz Field when they host Carolina.
