Staying Safe On Halloween

State Police offers tips to Trick or Treaters.
HOLLIDAYSBURG, BLAIR COUNTY - Halloween is just a few days away and trick or treaters will be taking to the streets hoping to get their fill of goodies.

Pennsylvania State Police officers are reminding drivers to be aware of the trick or treaters this week. Nationally, Halloween is one of the most dangerous holidays for kids being out on the street. Police say parents should consider costumes for kids with some fluorescent colors in them, along with a few other tips.

"The bare minimum, at least give them a flashlight to let drivers know kids are walking and then in addition to that we hope drivers are aware of when there is trick or treating in their community and to be more cautious when they're driving with the kids on the road," Trooper Dave McGarvey says.
