Spanier Attorney Files New Motion

The former Penn State president wants grand jury transcripts from Cynthia Baldwin.
DAUPHIN COUNTY - The attorney for Graham Spanier filed another motion in court Monday.

The former Penn State president wants grand jury transcripts from then-university general counsel, Cynthia Baldwin, and other evidence, as he prepares for trial.

This is the second time Spanier has asked for parts of the discovery.

Spanier's lawyers are asking for key information about Baldwin, including whether or not Baldwin received immunity for her grand jury testimony.

The motion also asks for the names of any witnesses the state plans to call at trial.

Lawyers for Spanier, Tim Curley and Gary Schultz continue to maintain their clients' innocence as they prepare for trial, which is expected sometime next year.
