Sam’s Club Waiving Membership During Shutdown

Military personnel and retirees can temporarily use the chain while the government is shut down.
BENTONVILLE, ARKANSAS – Sam’s Club announced October 3rd they will temporarily waive membership requirements to all military personnel, retirees, and their families while the government is shut down.

Commissaries on military bases have been closed since the shut down, which military families use for low-cost, tax-free groceries.

Until commissaries resume operating, the chain will allow military personnel and retirees who are not members to shop in their stores with valid military ID to shop in their store.
