"Runnin' Down a Dream" to Benefit Easter Seals

The Easter Seals work hard to make sure that people with disabilities or special needs have equal opportunities to live, learn, work and play, and no one knows that better than Easter Seals Ambassador Mitchell Case.
The Easter Seals work hard to make sure that people with disabilities or special needs have equal opportunities to live, learn, work and play, and no one knows that better than Easter Seals Ambassador Mitchell Case.

Mitchell is a long-time ambassador for the group, and he stopped by the set to talk about why he chose to get involved, and what the Easter Seals have done for him.

He also wanted to talk about this year’s benefit concert “Runnin’ Down a Dream: Celebrating the Music of Tom Petty.”  Mitchell will be co-emceeing this year’s event, which benefits both the Easter Seals, and the State Theatre, who will be hosting the event.

The event will feature food, music, a silent auction, and some phenomenal local music groups, including:
  • Pure Cane Sugar Band
  • The Screaming Ducks
  • Miss Melanie and the Valley Rats
  • Ted McCloskey and the Hi-Fi's
  • The Nightcrawlers
  • Erin Condo and the Hoofties
  • Chris Vipond and the Stanley Street Band
  • Grain
  • Hannah Bingman
  • The Strayers
