Route 220 Update in Clearfield County

ClearfieldPennDOT issues the following travel update for the Route 220 project in Clinton County. 

 

This update is for the week of May 10. All work is weather and schedule dependent. The job is funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Motorists can expect the following activity.

 

Mill Hall Interchange to Lock Haven Interchange:

         Northbound and southbound travel lanes will be closed. Lanes will be closed with barrels. Traffic is restricted to the passing lanes only. Guide rail removal will occur.

 

North of Lock Haven, Interchange to north of McElhatten Interchange:

         Long-term closure of the northbound and southbound travel lanes will continue. Lanes are closed with barrels. Traffic is restricted to the passing lanes only. Paving operations will begin at night. 

 

Overall Project:

         Glenn O. Hawbaker, Inc. is the contractor on this $6.7 million projects. Work is expected to be complete by mid-July. Drivers should be alert for slow moving and stopped vehicles through the entire work zone and obey posted speed limits.

         This project is part of PennDOT�s more than $66 million investment of federal 

         economic recovery funds being spent on 17 transportation projects across the

         nine counties of District 2.
