Hollidaysburg, PA - Beginning Monday, April 16, prime contractor, New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co., Inc. of New Enterprise, Bedford County will institute a ramp detour for bridge repairs as part of the design-build project of the Cross Keys Interchange in Allegheny Township, Blair County.
On Monday, the contractor will implement a scheduled 45 day ramp closure to perform scheduled roadway and structure repairs at the Ebensburg/Hollidaysburg Exit (Exit 28) for traffic traveling northbound on I-99 to Route 22 westbound. The established detour route signage will direct Route 22 westbound traffic traveling northbound on I-99 to the Plank Road Interchange (Exit 31), re-entering I-99 at Plank Road and proceeding southbound to the Cross Keys Interchange proceeding westbound on Route 22.
The bridge work on Route 22 over I-99 includes expansion dam replacement, a latex modified concrete deck overlay and barrier modifications. Roadway work will include concrete pavement patching, new bridge approach slabs and a bituminous overlay.
This $7 million project is expected to be completed by mid-January 2013.
