Route 219 Delays

Prime contractor New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co., Inc. will switch traffic on Route 219 between Sidman and New Germany next week.

Hollidaysburg � Prime contractor New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co., Inc. will switch traffic on Route 219 between Sidman and New Germany next week.

The $9.1 million rehabilitation project covers five miles of Route 219 in Adams and Croyle Townships and Ehrenfeld and Summerhill Boroughs in Cambria County.

On Tuesday, June 15, the contractor will switch northbound Route 219 traffic from the passing lane to the travel lane, and then on Wednesday, June 16, southbound traffic will be switched from the passing lane to the travel lane. Minor delays may be possible while the switch takes place.

Overall work on this project consists of concrete patching, milling and resurfacing of existing roadway, drainage and guiderail upgrades, along with the rehabilitation of six dual structures between South Fork and New Germany.

All work on this project is anticipated to be completed by Nov. 2010.
