Hollidaysburg � Prime contractor Clearwater Construction, Inc. will begin work on the Route 3006 (Eisenhower Boulevard) Riverside Bridge in Upper Yoder and Stonycreek Townships, Cambria County on Tuesday, June 15.
Work on this project will consist of removing the existing bituminous overlay and replacing it with a latex overlay, resealing joints, substructure repairs and roadway approach work as needed.
A 17 mile detour will be in place during construction that will follow Route 3006, Route 403, Route 4041 and Route 219.
This bridge is part of an overall $1.8 million project that is funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to rehabilitate the Tire Hill Bridge on Route 4041 (Soap Hollow Road), which has been completed and the Riverside Bridge on Route 3006 (Eisenhower Boulevard). All work on this project is anticipated to be completed by mid-November 2010.
