PSU Hockey Returns Home

Nittany Lions look for top scorers to spark first home game since the season opener.
UNIVERSITY PARK, CENTRE COUNTY - It's a homecoming for Penn State men's hockey.
The Nittany Lions return to Pegula Ice Arena for the first time since a season opening 4-1 win against Army.

Since then Penn State suffered two losses at Air Force.
Through the opening three games, the Lions’ top four returning scorers, Casey Bailey, David Glen, Taylor Holstrom, and Max Gardiner have accounted for no goals and just two assists.
The top-end struggles are something head coach Guy Gadowsky expects will soon change.

“You can take a three game stretch from last year and they didn't all score either,” Gadowsky says. “Plus we have a lot more depth and there's other players getting extra minutes, so it's not all together a surprise. But we have faith in all of them and we know they're get going.”

Gadowsky says fans can expect some shifting of lines to help mix things up offensively.

He adds that although his team is focused solely on Friday's game against RIT there's definitely some excitement for Saturday's atmosphere when they play in Philadelphia against Vermont at th home of the Flyers, Wells Fargo Center.
