Police Cruiser Damaged in Crash

The two people in the police cruiser were taken to the hospital.
JENNER TOWNSHIP, SOMERSET COUNTY – A Conemaugh Township Police cruiser was damaged in a crash Friday morning.

State Police were called to the intersection of State Route 601 and Woodstown Highway shortly after 10 a.m. Friday for reports of a two-vehicle collision.

According to State Police, a Dodge Ram driven by a 61-year-old Williamsburg man traveled through a stop sign and struck the cruiser traveling southbound on State Route 601.

The Conemaugh Township Police Sergeant was taken to Conemaugh Hospital to be treated/evaluated. His passenger was taken to Somerset Hospital for treatment/evaluation. All three people in the crash were wearing seatbelts.
