Garrett Jones' 8th inning homer not enough as Bucs come up short. <br mce_bogus="1">
(Bradenton, Fla.) - James McDonald gave up just 1 run on 2 hits in 7 strong innings of work, but it was enough for the Pirates on Saturday, as they blew a 4-1 8th inning lead, falling in 10 to Houston 5-4.

Garrett Jones hit a 2 run home run in that inning to give the Pirates the 3 run lead.  However in the 9th inning Scott Moore hit a 3 run homer off Ryota Igarashi to tie the game.  Then in the 10th a fielding error by Josh Rodriguez allowed the winning run to score for the Astros.

The Pirates and Astros will meet again tomorrow afternoon.  The game will be played in Kissimmee, at 1:05.
