Penn State Student Charged With Assault

A Penn State student is behind bars after allegedly assaulting staff at Mount Nittany Medical Center.
STATE COLLEGE, CENTRE COUNTY - A Penn State student is behind bars after allegedly assaulting staff at Mount Nittany Medical Center Sunday.

21 year-old Robert Boring faces felony aggravated assault charges, after police say he punched, kicked and spit on a security guard at the hospital.

Police say Boring got into a fight outside of The Darkhorse Tavern in downtown State College Sunday morning and was sent to the hospital after being punched. That's when Boring allegedly became aggressive with staff.

Boring is in Centre County jail under $25,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is set for November 27th.
