Overnight Forecast Wednesday, November 4th, 2013

One more day of warmth is coming our way before a big change in the weather pattern.
Updated: Wednesday Night, December 4th, 2013
Reported by: Chief Meteorologist Joe Murgo

Thursday will be breezy and warm despite a good deal of clouds and showers. The showers will become more numerous during the afternoon. A cold front will slip across the area and then stall Thursday night. As a disturbance moves along the front we'll have periods of rain Friday, some of which will be heavy. It will also start to turn colder with morning highs in the 40s but afternoon temperatures dropping through the 30s. The rain will mix with ice or snow in places later in the day and will change to a period of snow before ending later Friday night. A bubble of high pressure will give us a return of some sunshine Saturday but it will be a chilly day with highs in the 30s. This cold air will play a big factor in our weather as another storm approaches on Sunday. This storm will likely spread snow into the area, but as warm air moves in aloft, the snow will then mix with sleet and freezing rain. The mix will last into Sunday night before perhaps going to rain showers for a while on Monday before colder air changes precipitation back to snow showers later Monday. Behind this system, much colder air will move in for the middle of next week with snow showers.
