November will start on a warm note, but a brief chill is coming our way.
Updated: Thursday Night, October 31st, 2013
Reported by: Chief Meteorologist Joe Murgo

Rain and gusty winds will be around into early Friday morning as a cold front pushes into the region and there can be a thunderstorm. The front will pass to the east and the clouds will break for some sunshine Friday afternoon with a diminishing wind. Once again, temperatures will push up well into the 60s. Chillier air will continue to push into the area as we head into the weekend. Saturday will become mostly cloudy and brisk with scattered showers. The rain showers can mix with snowflakes across the higher terrain Friday night into Sunday. Temperatures will not rise higher than the 40s on Sunday despite clouds, sprinkles and flurries trying to break for some sunshine later in the day. A ridge of high pressure will settle over the region giving us plenty of sunshine on Monday. It will still be seasonably cool with highs in the upper 40s to the lower 50s. Eventually this air mass will warm as we head into the middle of next week with temperatures returning back into the 60s before the next front moves in with showers later next week.
