High pressure will give us tranquil weather for the entire week.

Autumn in our part of the country is known for stretches of dry and clear weather and we're in one of those stretches now with virtually no chance for rainfall through the end of this week. There will be patches of frost and areas of valley fog later on tonight. The National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory for much of the area into Tuesday morning and a freeze warning for Elk County. Tuesday will start with patches of fog; otherwise the rest of the day will be mostly sunny and fairly comfortable with highs fairly close to 70. A weak front will slip into the area on Wednesday into Thursday with a few clouds, but with little moisture to work with, there won't be more than that. A new area of high pressure will settle back over the region and give us a good deal of sunshine Friday and Saturday. The next front will return the chance for some showers Sunday into Monday.
