New $100 Bills Entering Circulation

The new notes were delayed by problems with the new security measures.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Federal Reserve announced the new $100 bill will enter circulation Tuesday.

The notes have new security measures including a blue 3D security ribbon which will make it easier to authenticate, and harder for counterfeiters to duplicate.

The Federal Reserve announced three years ago the security measures was causing the bills to crease during printing and ended up leaving blank spaces on the bills.
