Neighbors React to Double Murder

Police are investigating a double homicide and now neighbors are worried about the safety of their town.
JOHNSTOWN, CAMBRIA COUNTY - Police are investigating a double homicide and now neighbors are worried about the safety of their town.

Friends came to check on the Cambria County couple Wednesday and found them dead. They called police, and the coroner says Kevin Burt and Alicia Welborn both died from gunshots to the head.

Stacie Buksa has lived in this neighborhood for 12 years. It's mostly older people but some younger families have started moving in. She thinks it’s scary for those families who were looking for a safe community.

Ronald Tabron recently moved in just up the street from where the couple was killed.

Both of their kids play in a park right next where Burt and Welborn were killed on Benshoff Street in Johnstown.

Police say there's no reason for neighbors to worry, that the Burt and Welborn were targeted specifically. They say this wasn't a random killing.

But that isn't calming Stacie down. She says she’s still a mother, and she’s going to worry about her kids now that two people were killed in their neighborhood.

Police officers say they plan to release more information soon.
