Natural Way to Treat Heart Disease/Diabetes

It works better than drugs.
A new study finds that physical activity is  as effective as  medication for people with heart disease and stroke patients.

Researchers at the London School of Economics, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute at Harvard Medical School and Stanford University School of Medicine compared the effectiveness of exercise versus drugs on the death rate in heart disease, stroke rehabiliation, heart failure, and diabetes prevention.

They found no difference in the death rate for heart disease and diabetes prevention in patients who took medicine and those who exercised.

However, exercise was more effective than drug treatment for stroke patients. But for patients with heart failure, diuretic drugs were more effective.

The study results are in the British Medical Journal.
