Reported by: Meteorologist Steve Newton

Snow will spread from south to north today and be heavy at times. Much of the region is under a Winter Storm Warning until 4 a.m. Sunday morning. We will have more snow from this system than others we’ve seen this season, and a few mountain locations could get more than a foot of snow. Temperatures will be in the mid 20s to around 30° Saturday and the majority of snow will come to an end by late Saturday evening. A few snow showers will be left over Sunday morning, and clouds could break for some sunshine with a few locations reaching the low 30s. Winds will pick up a little for Monday with a mix of clouds and sunshine and a few flurries. Flurries or snow showers will be around for the first half of the week, and we’ll dry out with a mix of sun and clouds for Thursday and Friday. Temperatures could climb into the 40s by the end of the week, and the weather team is keeping our eyes on that.
