Updated: Friday morning, December 20th
Reported by: Meteorologist Steve Newton

Clouds are filling in and showers will arrive later this morning. It will be breezy in the higher elevations and milder air will continue to push into the region today, with temperatures reaching the upper 40s and low 50s. A few showers will be around during the overnight hours, and some valley spots could have fog by morning with temperatures dropping to near 40°. The fog may last into the late morning or early afternoon Saturday, and rain will be heavier in the afternoon with many spots getting into the low 50s. We may end up quite mild overnight into Sunday. If the majority of the snow is gone by Sunday, a lot of places could make it into the 60s for the first full day of winter. The chilly air mass in Canada and the upper Great Lakes will move in Monday, bringing the chance of flurries and snow showers and temperatures back into the 30s for highs.
