Flurries will slowly come to an end and clouds will break for sunshine this afternoon.
Updated: Wednesday afternoon, December 18th
Reported by: Meteorologist Steve Newton

The flurries are hanging tough across the region, but they will eventually taper off. Clouds are breaking for a little sunshine across the region with some communities in the valleys getting above freezing this afternoon. A few clouds will be around during the overnight hours and some spots north of I-80 may start Thursday in the teens. Warmer air will begin moving in during the early hours of Thursday, and temperatures will be around 10° higher than what we will see today. This milder pattern will last into the weekend, with a breezy day Friday and rain showers moving through. Both Saturday and Sunday will be in the 50s, but there will be rain showers both days. Chilly air will return early next week, with temperatures back in the 30s in the days leading up to Christmas.
