Men's Hoops: Penn State Falls to Pitt 78-69

Frazier led all scorers with 27 points for the Nittany Lions.
PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA - It was the first meeting in 8 years between the Penn State and Pitt Men's basketball programs.  In the end, despite a valiant effort by the Nittany Lions it was the Panthers moving to 8-0 on the year with a 78-69 win.

Tim Frazier led all scorers with 27 points.  D.J. Newbill added 18 for the Nittany Lions who fell to 6-3 on the season.

Lamar Patterson and Talib Zanna each scored 16 for the Panthers.  Zanna also added 10 rebounds.

Penn State returns to action Saturday when they host Marshall at the Bryce Jordan Center.  Tip-off set for 4 PM.
