HARRISBURG-

The public continues to remember the life of former Penn State Football Coach Joe Paterno. He was honored on Wednesday with a memorial mass in Harrisburg.

A group of alumni and supporters planned the Catholic mass because they weren't able to attend last month's service at the Bryce Jordan Center.  Folks gathered at the cathedral to pray, honor and remember.

The Bishop of Harrisburg, Joseph McFadden presided over the liturgy. There were also several priests in attendance. Paterno's son, Scott and family sat in the front of the church. Governor Tom Corbett was also there, along with former football players. Three of Paterno's grandchildren took up the gifts during the mass. Scott spoke on behalf of the Paterno family.

In State College, the community continues to remember Joe as well. A film celebrating Paterno called "The Joe We Know" premiers Sunday afternoon at 1:00 pm and 4:30 pm at The State Theatre. It's filled with interviews from former players. Showings are free and tickets are available at the box office.
