Mayors move to protect the poor from sugary drinks.

New York's Mayor Bloomberg renewed his attempt to limit people from buying soda and other sugary drinks.

Specifically-- people who are on food stamps.

Bloomberg-- along with mayors from 17 other cities-- are asking congressional leaders to prevent those who get the financial aid from buying the sugary drinks.

Currently people who use food stamps can't buy alcohol, cigarettes, hot food and some other items.
