Man Pleads Guilty, but Maintains Innocense

A local man pleaded guilty to stealing copper from a religious retreat, but still maintains he's innocent.
SCHELLSBURG, BEDFORD COUNTY - A local man pleaded guilty to stealing copper from a religious retreat, but still maintains he's innocent.

Michael Howsare pleaded guilty to Burglary, Criminal Trespass and Theft.

Police say he broke into Camp Living Waters in Schellsburg, Bedford County in September of 2009. Once there he allegedly stole copper piping from the kitchen and restroom areas and caused over four thousand dollars in damages.

Police found his DNA at the scene. And while Howsare didn't admit he broke in, he couldn't explain how his DNA was at the scene.
