Local Library Making Progress

HOLLIDAYSBURG - It was a milestone day for supporters of a new library in Hollidaysburg.
The first wall of the new building was put up Wednesday morning at the new library site near Hollidaysburg High School. Thanks to a grant, and more than a decade of fundraising, the library reached their monetary goal back in April. The new facility will add more parking space, a new community room, and other features organizers say are long overdue.
“It's going to be so wonderful to have a new library, a new facility for people to come to, a place to bring their families with updated technology. It's just going to be a wonderful experience,” Library Director Janet Eldred says.
The library building is scheduled to be completed around the middle of April 2014.
